Time Traveler
New music!
Coming in June 2024
Time Traveler contains 10 new original songs that revisit the lush orchestrations and haunting melodies that 2002 is known for. The songs range from simple piano landscapes to deeply complex odysseys flowing down unexpected paths. Physical CDs will be available. An Atmos version will also be released.
Album Length: 50:15
Immersive Spatial Audio
Time Traveler has also been mixed in 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos surround. It will be available on all the streaming platforms that support immersive audio. We worked extensively in surround many years ago, when 5.1 was all the rage. Now with Atmos, we have twice as many speakers with which we can immerse ourselves!
New instrument!
Randy is pictured here playing a Theremin. Invented in 1919 by Leon Theremin, it is the world’s oldest electronic musical instrument. The Theremin is played without physically touching the instrument. The player moves their hands freely in the air, modifying electronic fields created by two antennas, one for pitch and one for volume. Because of this lack of physical reference, the Theremin is one of the most difficult instruments to learn, but with practice and the right physical form and mindset, the instrument is capable of great musical beauty. Randy is playing his Moog Claravox, named after the legendary Theremin virtuoso, Clara Rockmore. You can hear this instrument on the song Where You Are.
